SOUTH AFRICA 26 Aug 1929 first regular Union Airways airmail service in South Africa inauguration flight cover from Cape Town to Johannesburg via Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein.  At Port Elizabeth the mail bags were transferred to two relay planes for the Durban (via East London) and Germiston legs of the service.  The 1d definitive issue and airmail 4d and 1s stamps cancelled by three 26 Aug 1929 Cape Town datestamps on the front.  (Arrival via evening train to Germiston as pilot had to overnight in Bloemfontein on 26 Aug 1929.)
