SOUTH AFRICA 26 Aug 1929 first regular Union Airways airmail service in South Africa inauguration flight cover from Cape Town to Germiston via Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein.  At Port Elizabeth the mail bags were transferred to two relay planes for the Durban (via East London) and Germiston legs of the service.  The definitive ½d pair and 4d airmail stamp cancelled by two 26 Aug 1929 Cape Town datestamps on the front with 27 Aug 1929 Germiston arrival datestamp (via evening train as pilot had to overnight in Bloemfontein on 26 Aug 1929) at the back
