Cover to commemorate the first flight by Japan Air Lines service from Hong Kong to Okinawa (Japanese Ryukyu Islands) with 50c stamp (first class air mail rate to Japan in 1955), cancelled on 5 February 1955 with the D184 datestamp used from 14 June 1946 to 13 December 1960 at the Hong Kong General Post Office (Proud, 2004). The cover has a blue “PAR AVION” Japan Air Lines label affixed and a green Japan Air Lines logoed stamp showing departure and arrival times.
